Steck on Energy
New York Energy rates are 70% higher than the national average.
Phil blames Governor Hochul; but he voted for all the failed energy policies the state had to implement to achieve unattainable goals; causing soaring prices.
When the legislature came to its senses and delayed the implementation of these policies, he voted against it.
He has gone as far as introducing legislation to accelerate these mandates, which will result in even higher energy costs. He also admitted the legislature intentionally increased rates to end reliable fuels such as natural gas and what you put in your vehicle.

Steck on Healthcare
Phil Steck wants to convince you that NYS operated health insurance is good for you. Unions, businesses and residents are opposed to this because they do not want to lose their hard fought negotiated insurance benefit plans; a state operated plan is estimated to cost trillions of tax dollars, far in excess of the NYS budget; nobody can say where the money will come from; these would be your tax dollars.
New York State can’t balance its budget, can’t run its prisons, or pave its roads. Think of all the waste, fraud and abuse of your tax dollars by the state government you certainly don't want bureaucrats managing your families health care.

Phil Steck wants to convince you that he is concerned about affordability and does not agree with state tax policy. Yet over the last 12 years he has voted for more than $120 billion in increased state budget spending, and more than 500 tax increases totaling nearly $70 billion; sending billions of dollars to NYC as his downstate NYC leadership has commanded. In addition, his extreme energy policies have given us the 3rd-highest utility costs in the nation.
New York State’s runaway spending, tax increases and rising energy costs are clearly supported by Steck; this is causing our neighbors to leave NYS at record rates every year.

Phil Steck has found a loop hole to get around the New York State limit on outside income for members of the Assembly and Senate. He will defer his $150,000+ until he leaves office. To be clear, he still gets all of his outside income, it’s just delayed. If he wants to run, he should comply with the intent of the law and leave his lucrative law practice. Steck is opposed to term limits for a reason - he's enriching himself off us taxpayers.
